I knew about Shannon Brooks and the problems that he had overcame in life dating back to probably 2012 or 2013 when he first began playing at PHS. I never felt I had the right platform to write about it until our profile project was presented. Once I set my sights on writing it, there was no turning back.

Just like their first five games of the season, the Dragons rolled to a lopsided win behind their balanced offense and turnover-creating defense. This time, Jefferson jumped ahead early and cruised to a 52-6 win — it’s first victory over the Blue Devils since 1976.
